Bengaluru water board imposes restrictions on usage of drinking water for non-essential purposes

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has restricted the use of drinking water for non-essential activities in Bengaluru due to rising temperatures and decreasing groundwater levels. Usage for cleaning vehicles, gardening, and construction is prohibited. Violators will be fined Rs 5,000, with an additional penalty for repeated offenses. The public is urged to use water judiciously.
