Bengaluru: Kamabala might not be held in city this year after PETA's petition

The Karnataka High Court has halted the first Kambala race scheduled for October 26 following a petition by PETA, which cited animal cruelty and called for adhering to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. PETA also urged limiting the event to traditional rural areas. The court will consider objections and arguments on November 5.
