Bengal teacher recruitment scandal: SC seeks CBI's response on ex-WBSSC chairman's bail plea

The Supreme Court has sought the CBI's views on a bail plea by Subiresh Bhattacharya, the former West Bengal School Service Commission chairman, involved in a teacher recruitment scandal. Bhattacharya, in custody for two and a half years, has not yet seen the trial start. A response is awaited as the Calcutta High Court monitors the CBI probe.
