Bengal govt removes Director of Health Services, Director of Medical Education

The West Bengal government has removed Dr Kaustav Nayak and Dr Debasish Halder from their positions as Director of Medical Education and Director of Health Services. This decision follows a meeting between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and junior doctors protesting the rape-murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor. New appointments have been made for these roles.
