Bangladesh top legal official seeks removal of words 'secularism' & 'socialism' from Constitution

Bangladesh's Attorney General proposed removing "secularism" and "socialism" from the Constitution, alongside the recognition of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the Father of the Nation. He argued that these amendments, introduced by the previous Awami League government, were unconstitutional and sought to reinstate the caretaker government system and provisions for referendums.
