Bangladesh to soon hold negotiations with India over sharing of water of transboundary rivers: Interim government adviser

Bangladesh is preparing to negotiate with India on the sharing of water from transboundary rivers. This follows a stalled agreement on Teesta water sharing in 2011 due to objections from West Bengal's Chief Minister. Water Resources Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan emphasised the importance of data exchange and public opinion in these negotiations.
