Australia, Britain to strike treaty for joint production of submarines
Australia and Britain will sign a bilateral treaty to produce a new class of nuclear-powered submarines under the AUKUS partnership, which includes the United States. Australia will purchase U.S. Virginia class submarines, and later, Britain and Australia will build new AUKUS submarines in both countries.
