Assam: Home Ministry issues show-cause notice under UAPA against ULFA

The union ministry of Home Affairs has issued a show-cause notice to the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, questioning why it shouldn't be declared unlawful for five years from November 2024. ULFA, which disbanded in January last year and split into factions, must respond within 30 days.
