Asian Development Bank approves $42 mn loan for coastal protection in Maharashtra

The Asian Development Bank has approved a USD 42 million loan for coastal and riverbank protection in Maharashtra. This project aims to combat coastal erosion using hybrid engineering and nature-based solutions. It will also enhance fisheries, tourism, and include capacity building on gender equality and coastal management for local stakeholders.
