ASI conducts survey of temple, 5 pilgrimage sites, 19 wells in Sambhal: DM

An ASI team surveyed the recently discovered Shri Kartik Mahadev temple in Sambhal, along with five pilgrimage sites and 19 wells. Three damaged idols were found inside a well at the Bhasma Shankar temple, reopened after 46 years. The district administration has requested carbon dating of the temple. The Supreme Court has halted new lawsuits seeking to reclaim religious places.
