ARCs face hurdles in resolving retail bad loans

Asset reconstruction companies (ARCs) are facing challenges in handling retail non-performing assets (NPAs) due to the absence of a widely-accepted pricing model, high transaction costs, and difficulty in asset valuation. This creates a disconnect between banks looking to offload retail NPAs and ARCs willing to acquire them.
