The Archives at NCBS, a public centre for the history of science in contemporary India, will launch 100,000 new archival objects across 20 collections and 100+ years on February 22, Saturday. According to the website of the Archives, “these include rarely documented histories of women, communities and social movements,” it states, adding that these come in various forms: letters, negatives, glass plates, photographs, audio recordings, scientific equipment, letters, and field and lab notes and from all fields of science and mathematics. “How it speaks to us is even more diverse. You’ll see labour, class, gender, politics, humour, and so much more.”
