Aravalli Green Wall: Centre targets restoring degraded ecosystems over 8 lakh ha in first phase

The Centre is set to restore over eight lakh hectares of reserved forest in the first phase of the Aravalli Green Wall project, costing Rs 16,053 crore. This initiative aims to combat desertification and protect vital ecosystems in the Aravalli range, spanning Gujarat to Delhi, by creating a five-kilometre-wide green buffer.
