Analysis: Report of Hegseth ‘kill everybody’ order follows military officials’ departures

Two top military officials have recently announced they will be stepping down from their posts, the timing of which CNN’s Jake Tapper notes follows scrutiny around the legal justification around lethal strikes against alleged drug boats in the Caribbean, and a Washington Post report that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered to “kill everybody” on one of the strikes.
