Amazon to buy BNPL startup Axio

Amazon has acquired Indian startup Axio, an online lending platform that provides point-of-sale financing. The deal, signed in December, is awaiting regulatory approvals. Axio has raised $232 million and is valued at $200 million. It mainly lends to individuals on e-commerce platforms and has shown strong growth and asset quality.
