Almost 75 per cent of Chardham Project complete, Centre tells SC

The Centre informed the Supreme Court that 75% of the Chardham Project in Uttarakhand is complete. This strategic 900-kilometre project aims to provide all-weather connectivity to the holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, enhancing access to the China border. The oversight committee, chaired by retired Justice A K Sikri, submitted two reports in 2024.
