All social media platforms in Meghalaya will have to register with govt directorate

The Directorate of Information and Public Relations in Meghalaya has mandated that all individuals and organisations disseminating news on social media must register with the department. This move aims to ensure that no content shared is against the state's interests, public order, decency, or morality. Non-compliance will result in legal action.
