AICC silent, but Tamil Nadu Congress backs DMK on ₹ symbol swap

Tamil Nadu Congress chief K Selvaperunthagai supports DMK's decision to replace the rupee symbol with a Tamil letter in the state budget logo as a protest against Hindi imposition by the Centre. He emphasized the dissatisfaction with the three-language policy in the New Education Policy and the population-based delimitation which is seen as discriminatory against southern states.
