After a five-year lull, Amaravati sees a dramatic turnaround in Andhra Pradesh
After a five-year lull, Amaravati sees a dramatic turnaround in Andhra Pradesh. The capital city project, which was dumped by the YSRCP government to take forward its three-capital agenda, is again up and running with the TDP-led NDA dispensation in Andhra Pradesh, with the active support of the Union government, taking it up with renewed vigour and making efforts to start works costing ₹45,000 crore in Januray-February 2025. With the World Bank approving a $800 million loan and the government giving an undertaking in the Supreme Court that it will complete the project in three years, capital city development is set to gain pace.
