Aero India 2025: India opens air show with eye on boosting defence manufacturing and exports

India is boosting manufacturing and exports of defence equipment to counter China's military strength and influence in South Asia, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said. With domestic defence manufacturing expected to reach 1.25 trillion rupees and exports surpassing 210 billion rupees, India aims to significantly increase these numbers in the coming years.
