In a memorandum submitted to the National Council, Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM) (Staff Side), the Federation of National Postal Organisations (FNPO) has requested that the 8th Pay Commission's fitment factor be set between 3.0 and 3.25 for various levels of employees.The existing minimum basic salary of an employee would increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 54,000 as a result of the 3.0 fitment factor.
