3.56 lakh claims worth Rs 643 cr rejected for frauds under Ayushman Bharat scheme

Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav reported that 3.56 lakh fraudulent claims were rejected, and 1,114 hospitals de-empanelled under Ayushman Bharat. The scheme, offering Rs 5 lakh health cover, is expanding to include senior citizens aged 70 and above. Rigorous anti-fraud measures and grievance redressal systems are in place to prevent misuse and ensure authenticity of claims.
