Famed for its bargain electronics and street food, it’s one of the largest outdoor markets in the UK. Yet North Weald market, which has been running every Saturday for 30 years on the site of a former RAF airfield in Essex, announced in October that it could lose 100 of its stalls, replaced by a car park.
