Weather update: Orange alert in Assam and rainfall warning in Kolkata; IMD predicts heavy showers in Bihar

Weather today: The IMD has issued an orange alert in Assam and other northeastern states today, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall. Kolkata has been receiving heavy rain since Thursday morning with the IMD predicting more rainfall in later part of the day. Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand might also see rainfall today and tomorrow.
