Rajya Sabha Chairman refuses to admit Opposition’s impeachment motion against CEC Gyanesh Kumar

Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan has rejected a move to impeach Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. This marks the end of the first-ever impeachment attempt against a sitting CEC in India's history. The opposition INDIA bloc had submitted notices in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Chairman cited due consideration in his decision to refuse the motion.
