29 years after his disappearance from Army's custody, J&K court declares Abdul Rashid Wani dead
A Srinagar court has declared Abdul Rashid Wani legally dead. He disappeared nearly 29 years ago from Indian Army custody. His wife and sons filed a civil suit. The court found evidence that Wani was taken into custody by Gorkha Rifles on July 7, 1997. His whereabouts remained unknown despite investigations.
