Zojila Tunnel breakthrough to cut Kashmir-Ladakh travel time
India's strategic Zojila Tunnel has achieved its final breakthrough, marking a major milestone in the ₹6,800-crore project. The all-weather tunnel will connect Kashmir and Ladakh year-round, reduce travel time between Ganderbal and Kargil from three hours to 20 minutes, and boost tourism, trade and military logistics in the region.
