Set on Qinglian Island in the tranquil waters of Chengde's Mountain Resort, Yanyu Tower (Misty Rain Tower) is a two-story waterside pavilion built during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) under Emperor Qianlong (r. 1735-96).
