Uttar Pradesh voter list down 13% as SIR 2 trims 5.38 crore names

Uttar Pradesh's final voter list is out, showing a significant drop in numbers. Over 2 crore names were removed, bringing the total down to 13.39 crore. This revision process, called SIR Phase II, saw millions of names deleted across several states. Most deletions were due to voters being deceased or having moved. The state also added new young voters.
