A section of the main stage at Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 celebrations came crashing down, narrowly missing dancers during a rehearsal. Footage shows dancers practising their routine ahead of the Saturday (4 July) show, when a large panel plummeted to the ground just inches behind them. The music and performance then abruptly stopped. No one was injured in the incident, organisers of the Freedom 250 event confirmed. “We take the safety of our performers, crew, volunteers, and guests extremely seriously. The work underway was taking place on the backside of the stage, separate from the front thrust where performers were rehearsing. Additional safeguards and senior technical oversight are now in place,” it added in a statement.
