Donald Trump showed off a new chart which compared the freshly-painted Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to different skyscrapers. During an impromptu executive order signing ceremony in the Oval Office on Wednesday (3 June), the US president presented a poster titled “Our Pool is Bigger than Skyscrapers” to officials and press. It compared the 2,030ft long pool against the 1,451ft high Sears Tower in Chicago, New York City's 1,454ft Empire State Building, and the 1,776ft One World Trade Center. The pool, which has been empty since late April, is due to reopen before the 4 July holiday, which will also mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
