Tokyo, global capital of the suit-and-tie, is encouraging wearing shorts to reduce reliance on air conditioning
Last year, Japan sweltered through its hottest summer since records began in 1898, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. This summer, they are encouraging 'cool' attire that 'prioritises comfort, including polo shirts, t-shirts and sneakers and shorts.'
