Tamil Nadu CM Vijay withdraws astrologer’s appointment amid criticism
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has reversed his decision to appoint his astrologer, Rickey Radhan Pandit Vettrivel, as Officer on Special Duty. The appointment faced strong criticism from opposition parties and allies. Vettrivel, also a spokesperson for the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam, was a close aide during the election campaign.
