Supreme Court gets five new judges; strength to go up to 37
Five new judges have been appointed to the Supreme Court. This brings the total number of judges to 37. The sanctioned strength of the apex court was recently increased to 38. The appointments were made following recommendations from the Supreme Court Collegium. The Supreme Court now has one vacancy.
