As the Union Government marks “12 Years of Governance” with departments showcasing achievements across sectors, the Ministry of Education highlighted a significant rise in higher education funding. The Ministry stated on X that “Higher Education Budget Allocation increased by 11.28% (Rs 5,649.27 crore) in FY 2026–27 compared to FY 2025–26,” positioning it as evidence of sustained investment in India’s education ecosystem.
