The remains of 11th century Spanish kings have been relocated as raging wildfires threaten the monastery where they are stored. The bones of three of the first kings of the medieval kingdom of Aragon were moved to the provincial museum of Huesca, 80 km (50 miles) south of the monastery in the mountains. They will remain there until conditions improve, said the ​northeastern region's vice-president Mar Vaquero. Footage released by the Spanish Military Emergency Unit shows team members lifting boxes of the remains out of the monastery and into vehicles for transportation. As of Friday (14 August), the monastery has remained unharmed from the flames of the nearby wildfire, which has burned more than16,000 hectares.
