Seth Meyers took a swipe at Kash Patel on Wednesday's show (23 April), after the FBI director said that members of the USA hockey team were his “friends.” “I’m like an everyday American who loves his country, loves the sport of hockey, and champions my friends when they raise a gold medal and invite me in to celebrate,” Patel said during a Justice Department press conference on Tuesday, referring to when he drank beer in the Team USA locker room after their Winter Olympics gold medal victory. “Friends? No, sweetie. I’m gonna say to you what I said to John and Jim about Mr. and Mrs. Met, they’re not your friends," the Late Night host said.
