Satellite firm Planet Labs to withhold Iran war visuals after Trump team's blackout request

Planet Labs, a leading satellite imaging company, has agreed to implement indefinite restrictions on releasing imagery of Iran and Middle Eastern conflict zones following pressure from the U.S. administration. Building on an initial two-week embargo, the company will now selectively distribute sensitive geospatial data based on national security considerations and public interest assessments, aiming to prevent hostile actors from exploiting satellite visuals for military operations.
