Real estate developers put forth demands | CREDAI seeks review of Pallikaranai Ramsar planning freeze, calls for scientific delineation of influence zone
CREDAI urged the State to withdraw the one-kilometre planning restriction around the Pallikaranai marshland by CMDA until the wetland’s extent and influence zone are scientifically delineated, complete ‘ground-truthing’ and studies, finalise and notify the IMP after public consultation, and continue processing existing planning approvals, renewals and loan applications in already urbanised areas.
