Pope Leo XIV receives Liberty Medal on Eve of America’s birthday
On the eve of America’s 250th birthday, Pope Leo XIV formally accepted the Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center, a non-partisan non-profit located across from Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed. The award was presented to him for his lifelong work in promoting religious liberty, freedom of conscience, and expression around the globe. CNN’s Christopher Lamb reports.
