People 'misunderstand' India by reading reports by 'ignorant NGOs': MEA over question concerning human ri
The Ministry of External Affairs defended Indias record on press freedom and human rights, saying many people misunderstand the country based on reports by “ignorant NGOs”. Speaking at a press conference, MEA Secretary (West) Sibi George highlighted the scale of Indias media landscape, noting that Delhi alone has around 200 TV news channels across multiple languages.
