No right to offer namaz on public land; govt may intervene in activities deviating from tradition: Allahab
The Allahabad High Court ruled that public land is not for exclusive religious use. Individuals cannot unilaterally use such property for Namaz. Religious practice is subject to public order and others' rights. The court dismissed a petition seeking exclusive use of land for Namaz. Such activities impacting public domain are subject to state regulation, it said.
