Modi releases PM-Kisan instalment for 9.44 crore farmers, launches world's largest crop insurance scheme i
Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed over Rs 18,880 crore to 9.44 crore farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme. He also launched the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in West Bengal, extending the world's largest crop insurance benefits to state farmers. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects in agriculture, railways, and road infrastructure from Hooghly.
