Mamata Banerjee has filed an election petition at the Calcutta High Court. She is challenging the Bhabanipur assembly seat poll result. Suvendu Adhikari of the BJP defeated Banerjee in this seat. The counting of votes for the West Bengal assembly election took place on May 4. Adhikari became the first BJP chief minister of the state after the BJP's win.
