Leeds drivers race on dual carriageway before horror crash kills mother and daughter walking to school
Two men who drove at excessive speeds on a busy Leeds dual carriageway caused the deaths of a mother and her four-year-old daughter as they walked to school. Hardeep Bhachu, 29, of Grant Row, Adel, Leeds, lost control of the white Audi TT he was driving and hit Justyna Hulboj, 27, and her four-year-old daughter Lena Czepczor. Dashcam footage showed he had been racing Jasskamal Riyat immediately before the collision, and also captured a conversation between the pair in which Bhachu said that his car had 560 horsepower and he’d only been at quarter throttle. Bhachu pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of the mother and daughter by dangerous driving. Riyat, 37, of Buckstone Avenue, Moortown, Leeds, was found guilty of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
