Kerala reports 15 new Shigella cases; June tally rises to 165
Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram district reported 15 new Shigella cases on Tuesday, with Kozhikode leading the infections. The state has seen 165 Shigella cases and six deaths this June, totaling 241 infections this year. Outbreaks are active in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Thrissur, and Alappuzha. Meanwhile, 11 low-risk Nipah contacts have been cleared from observation, with the sole Nipah patient still receiving intensive care.
