Japan, U.S. Agree to Coordinate in Handling Currency Speculation
Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama met her U.S. counterpart Scott Bessent, who is visiting Japan, at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday morning. They agreed to closely coordinate in handling the foreign exchange market, where there has been speculative trading. They also confirmed their countries would cooperate in their responses to generative AI.
