Japan Has Met 2% Inflation Target, Says Former BOJ Gov. Kuroda
Haruhiko Kuroda, a former governor of the Bank of Japan who led large-scale monetary easing, said during a recent interview with The Yomiuri Shimbun that “a virtuous cycle of rising wages and prices” has taken hold in the economy, and that the BOJ’s target of stabilizing inflation at 2% has been “achieved.”
