CCTV footage has been released of an Iranian journalist being stabbed on a London street by two men said to be acting on behalf of Tehran. Pouria Zeraati, who works for anti-regime Iran International, was left bleeding in the street after he was attacked by proxies of Tehran outside his home in Wimbledon on March 29 2024, a court heard. Nandito Badea, 21, and George Stana, 25, were both convicted by a jury at Woolwich Crown Court of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Both had denied the charges. Footage released by the Metropolitan Police shows what appears to be Badea and David Andrei, another man who the victim claims was a part of the attack, leaving a hotel on the day of the stabbing, walking in the street and buying a bottle of surface cleaner and towels just hours before the attack. A later clip also shows the attack on Queensmere Road from various angles, before they fled the scene. Andrei is still in Romania and was not on trial.
