Iran executes man over membership of jihadist group, armed rebellion
Iran carried out an execution on Sunday. Amer Ramesh was convicted of belonging to the Jaish al-Adl group. He was also found guilty of attacking security forces in the southeast. The judiciary confirmed the execution took place early Sunday morning. This follows another execution on Saturday. Iran is a frequent user of the death penalty.
